Objectives
The primary objective of this proposal is to support the efforts of individuals and organizations working towards the protection of the night sky in Pakistan. The six SQMs provided will be used for the following purposes:
1. To measure and document the current level of light
pollution in different areas of Pakistan.
2. To monitor the changes in the level of light pollution over
time and track the effectiveness of dark sky protection
measures.
3. To identify areas with the darkest skies in Pakistan and
promote them as potential dark sky tourism destinations.
4. To raise awareness among the general public about the
negative impacts of light pollution and the importance of
preserving the night sky.
